The position
We are looking for a dynamic and driven PR Manager - Campaigns to join our enthusiastic and collaborative team. The Role: As the PR Manager - Campaigns, your primary responsibility will be to lead the PR strategy and implementation of our integrated signature campaigns, while having a key role in developing and amplifying new initiatives and ambassador partnerships aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
This is a permanent full- time opportunity based at our Burwood East, Vic office or Sydney office. Due to the nature of the media industry, this role may be required to be on-call and/or undertake work outside of business hours.
Reporting to the Head of Brand Communications & Ambassadors, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the integrated communications strategy and execution for WVA’s signature campaigns and ambassador appointments.
- Identifying and implementing ad-hoc integrated PR moments to enhance the WVA brand.
- Managing media materials, including briefings and supporting documentation.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, particularly Marketing, to support communications strategies.
- Developing and maintaining trusted media contacts across Australia.
- You will proactively and reactively create compelling news stories to leverage World Vision’s growing ambassador portfolio.
- Collaborating with World Vision International to ensure global campaigns are relevant and amplified for the Australian market.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Senior level experience in an integrated comms, brand comms or public relations role (agency or in-house)
- You will be a visionary leader and an incredible storyteller who is equally as passionate about changing lives and tackling the big issues together with a talented team of communications experts.
- High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for our intended audience
- Ability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team
- Agency or agency management experience preferrable, but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in integrated communications, public relations, journalism or marketing.
- You will have your finger on the pulse, abreast of popular culture and emerging celebrities and can confidently suggest talent that could amplify our brand and influence.
